My husband and I moved to Sewickley in Nov 2019. Since then we've had two boys and the SAMC has been a shining light for me the last few years. The babies group playdates introduced me to other moms in the same season as myself and the friendships I've made through those, the social events, and moms nights out have been so uplifting. This organization really helped me feel like a part of the community and so I wanted to be more involved to help other new moms feel included and cared for as well. I'm excited for this 2023-24 season and all the fun we have planned!

I grew up in Los Angeles then lived in Santa Barbara and the Maryland suburbs of Washington, DC for a few years before my husband and our (now 4 year old) daughter moved to be near his family in the north hills in 2020. We decided to stay in Pittsburgh and Sewickley was our favorite of the walkable suburbs so we moved to the village in fall 2022. I found SAMC a few months after we moved and it has been a wonderful place to meet other moms as someone new to the area. This season, I’m thrilled to serve as one of the social chairs planning our large all-family events. With a baby due in late November, I’m looking forward to getting to know other moms in the baby play group and 4 and older play groups.

I joined the SAMC last year right after my twins, Spencer and Scarlett, were born. I am looking forward to getting more involved with the club and meeting new moms this year. I have an art background and currently work as an arts director at the Children's Museum of Pittsburgh. I am always looking for fun and creative things to do with my family!

We moved from Pittsburgh to Sewickley in the fall of 2020. We live in the village and love all the places we can walk with our two girls especially the playgrounds, the library, and Sewickley Confectionery! I joined SAMC in 2021, it was the perfect way to meet other families in the area. The girls love all the events throughout the year and I look forward to the Mom’s Night Out every month. It will be my second year as the 4 & Over Coordinator and am excited for all the fun we have planned!

I am from Hungary and we moved to the US 9 years ago. Ever since we visited Sewickley, we were sure once we want to live here. After a couple years of West Coast life we finally moved back and our dream came true. I'm really grateful for this community, being a first time mom has been challenging and I received so much help, met so many great people and participated in so many fun activities with my little girl!

My family and I just moved to Sewickley from Chicago this summer, and I was so thrilled to find this special community of women! I have a 7 year old daughter and 5 year old son, and I am looking forward to all of the connections and experiences both my kiddos and I will have through SAMC. I’m passionate about supporting moms and their children—motherhood can be so isolating and hard, especially in the beginning—and caring for each other while also feeling a part of something special is truly gratifying. Looking forward to an exciting year ahead!

I’m from Louisiana originally, and my family moved from Seattle to Sewickley in Fall 2022! We love how walkable and kid friendly Sewickley is and are so happy to call it home. The SAMC helped me build a sense of community and connectedness when I knew literally nobody in the area. I’m so excited to build on that in the upcoming year!

Grace is a Sewickley native and lives here with her husband, Austyn, her son, Artemus, and her dog, Seda. After studying jazz in college, she moved to nashville where she performed as a professional musician for three years before moving back to Sewickley and starting a lessons and performing business. Grace is also passionate about exercise and plant based health, as well as dreaming up new business ventures. As a social chair this year, she is excited to bring families together and build the “village” community.

I moved to Moon, PA from Houston, TX in June 2019 with my husband and cat. Since then we've had two kids, Laurel (3) and Drew (2). I joined SAMC last year when my youngest turned one. We're less than 15 minutes away from the village and love spending time over the bridge in this great community. The club's family days have been so fun. I enjoy engaging with new people during the play dates and look forward to seeing you at an event soon.

I'm originally from Virginia, and have spent time living in New Mexico, Georgia, and North Carolina. After living in Pittsburgh for seven years, my husband and I (with our baby daughter in tow) swapped our city life for village life in the fall of 2021. We feel so grateful that we ended up in Sewickley! As a new mom in a new town, joining the moms club was one of the best decisions ever. I really look forward to having some serious fun with everyone at our Mom’s Night Out events this season!

I joined the Sewickley Area Mother’s Club when my twins were born in 2017. This organization has introduced me to so many great women and families, as a relative newcomer to Sewickley. I’m from Pittsburgh originally, but was new to this area. All of the members are so inviting and welcoming. It has been great to have a community to go to for recommendations, questions, child events, and (equally as important) child-free events.

I grew up in Wexford but lived away from Pittsburgh for 20 years. When we moved back to Sewickley from London two years ago, I joined SAMC as a great way to meet other local women. With a busy work travel schedule and three kids at home, SAMC has been an amazing resource to get to know the community and the many wonderful families who live here. I love to cook and am excited to help new parents and others who need a helping hand with meal trains as the Sunshine Chair!"

My family moved to Sewickley in 2020 from New Jersey and we are so grateful to have landed in this special community. As an out-of-towner who didn’t know anyone or know the area, the Moms Club was a lifesaver for me. I joined the club when it was virtual and found the newsletters and Facebook group to be super helpful resources. Now that the club is back in full swing, it has been invaluable connecting with other moms and attending fantastic SAMC events. I’m excited to jump in and help keep this unique club going and growing!
